Blackberry Sorrel Smoothie

For us summer means experimenting with smoothies. Lately, I have been trying to incorporate, read HIDE, more veggies in our smoothies. Today I was using up my remaining sorrel and basil, which had wilted a bit, from our first CSA share with Tecolote Farm. Turned out great, the kids gobbled it up quick and the green tea adds a little afternoon pick me up for mom.

Blackberry Sorrel Smoothie

  • 1 can organic coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup green tea

  • Half an avocado

  • 1 bunch sorrel leaves, stems removed, about 1.5 cups

  • 2 handfuls organic baby spinach

  • About 10-12 leaves fresh basil

  • 5 peaches

  • 2 cups frozen blackberries

  • 1/2 tsp chlorella powder

  • 2 drops lime yl essential oil

  • dash of stevia if needed for sweetness

Add all ingredients to vitamix blender, top with ice and blend until smooth.
